August 25, 2025: New Undergraduate Student in LRG
  We are delighted to welcome a Chemical Engineering undergraduate, Clare Janas, to LRG. We look forward to her contributions to the group's ongoing projects.

May 14, 2025: LRG at 2025 CAMP Annual Meeting
  LRG participated in the CAMP Annual Meeting in Geneva, NY. Dr. Lu was invited to give a talk titled “Unraveling the Hidden Synergy between Mechanical Forces and Chemistry in Biomaterials and Living Systems.”
Robert presented a poster on “Utilizing mechanical force to reveal and modulate chemical reaction pathways.” Congratulations to both for representing the group's research so strongly!

January 31, 2025: New Postdoctoral Researchers Join LRG
  We warmly welcome Dr. Krishna Pandey and Dr. Banchhanidhi Prusti, who have joined LRG as Postdoctoral Research Associates. Their expertise and energy will significantly strengthen our research directions, and we look forward to exciting collaborations ahead.

September 16, 2024: NIH-MIRA Award for Dr. Lu
  We are thrilled to share that Dr. Lu has received the prestigious NIH-MIRA award of $1.8M to support his innovative research on cell mechanical sensing. Many thanks to NIH for recognizing and supporting this exciting work!

June 3, 2024: LRG Publishes in JACS
  LRG is proud to announce the publication of its second research article in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. Special congratulations to Nnamdi and all our team members for this milestone achievement!

  This summer, LRG is happy to host Robert Davis and Noel Ventura as undergraduate researchers. We wish them a productive and inspiring research experience!

May 9, 2024: Celebrating Our First Ph.D. Graduates
  We are delighted to announce that graduate students Nnamdi Ofodum and Richard Chandradat have successfully defended their dissertations and received their Ph.D.s—the very first doctoral degrees awarded in LRG! Congratulations to Dr. Ofodum and Dr. Chandradat on this landmark achievement.

April 20, 2024: NSF-ERI Award for Foundational Bioimaging Research
  Dr. Lu has also been awarded an NSF-ERI grant to establish the foundational framework for engineering solutions in advanced super-resolution bioimaging. This award lays the groundwork for transformative progress in the field.

June 14, 2023: 2nd Symposium on Future Smart Material Systems
  Dr. Lu organized the 2nd Future Smart Materials Systems Symposium at the 2023 ACS-NERM Meeting, bringing together leading researchers to exchange ideas on the future of advanced materials.

May 18, 2023: Scialog Scholar in Advanced Bioimaging
  Congratulations to Dr. Lu for being named a Research Corporation Scialog Scholar in Advanced Bioimaging. This recognition highlights his leadership and creativity in advancing frontiers of imaging science.

April 8, 2023: LRG at ACS Northern New York Annual Symposium
  LRG attended the ACS Northern New York Annual Symposium, engaging with the regional scientific community and sharing the group's latest research progress.

October 3-4, 2022: LRG at 2022 ACS-NERM Meeting
  LRG graduate students Nnamdi Ofodum and Richard Chandradat presented their first external oral talks at 2022 ACS-NERM Meeting at Rochester, NY. Excellent jobs!
  Dr. Lu presented two invited talks on mechanoresponsive polymeric materials
  Dr. Lu organized an interdisciplinary symposium "Future Smart Materials Systems" with 28 invited speakers from diverse areas.

October 1-2, 2022: LRG at Clarkson Materials Chemistry Symposium

Dr. Qi received his Ph.D. at Jilin University in China and served as a Postdocotral Research Associated in the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics affiliated with Chinese Academy of Sciences prior to join The Lu Research Group.
